The Moon Dance Artisan

When we were kids, there are a variety of myths for Mid-Autumn festival. There were the Moon Goddess and her bunnies, and there was a villager who tells lies, until one day, his lie comes true… The truth is:

Back in the old days, when our ancestors were farmers, mid of Autumn was the harvesting time. People celebrated it to thank the Gods for a successful season, for the abundance of food that they have had. That would be the explanation for Mid-Autumn Festival when you search on Google.

The Moon Dance

For us, the Asian boys, the festival is all about family and friends.

This is a big occasion for kids, the whole family gathers and enjoys the Moon cakes. At night, we kids would run around the neighborhood, carrying lanterns, singing festive songs, playing children games and the best part is: watching Lion Dance on the street.

As we grow older, busy working and paying bills, we couldn’t enjoy it as much as before. But every time it comes, it always brings back childhood memories in our hearts…

Coming Soon

The Festival will come very soon on the September 10th, 2022, we are preparing a new sculpt for this very special event. Even if we can’t make it on time, we will still try our best, enjoy the process and think about the old days, with our Moon-Dance artisan.
